Peer Advising
In hopes to integrate both new and current students into the GPIA and New School community, GPIA student government created this program to help students settle into their first semester, provide advice on classes, and assist in issues related to GPIA and the New School (i.e. housing or financial aid issues).
Peer advising is a chance for registering students to meet with their fellow GPIA community and ask their questions! Taking place during faculty advising, this is the perfect opportunity to come in and learn more about the program and its members.
Student Support Leaders
These people are dedicated to bringing new (and old) students into GPIA. Not only will they answer questions about GPIA and The New School, but they are willing to meet up to make the transition to the Master's Program that much easier. It is always nice to have a person like this!
The peer advisors while have specific knowledge on concentrations and classes within that concentration. They will be available in person during the time of registration to answer any question you might have about courses, teachers, the program, how to register, and will guide you in the correct direction to solve any problems.
