Bio


Oliana is a graduate of the International Affairs Program. Her background has been in the banking sector where she worked until 2001 in Tirana, Albania with the first private and foreign bank to ever open in the country after the fall of the communist regime. She also freelanced for the Italian Embassy in Tirana - Office for Cooperation and Development, as translator of laws and regulations that served as background documents for projects aiming to help country’s economic development. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Tiranaand a BBA in Information Systems Management. Along with having worked as Teaching Assistant to GPIA faculty, she has been in charge of organizing the Leading Edge in Policy Choices for Human Development Lecture Series that hosted several distinguished guest speakers.  Oliana has also served as research intern at the United Nations Development Fund for Women, and has volunteered with BRAC USA where she researched and analyzed financial data and other performance indicators of MFIs in target countries in Africa.
