Fieldwork Skills: Developing your Tool Kit

The focus of the workshop is to provide you with key concepts and skills essential to working and living abroad. In the morning session we'll explore the ethics of fieldwork and the importance of culture when working overseas. During the afternoon session, you'll split up into groups for practical skills workshops. Please see agenda below for details.

 

You should choose your workshops based on the work you'll be required to do for your internship. The options are:

  1. How to Effectively Write Your Final Report by Mark Johnson

  2. Finding Hidden Treasures: Community Mapping 101 by Shon Morris

  3. Documenting Your Fieldwork Through Photography by Heidi Good

The Saturday Skills Workshops are essential to your IFP and are considered mandatory.
