Seminar:     "Moving from Loose Global Associations to Linked Geographic Networks - How can NGO networks grow, build coherence, and, at the same time, strengthen their grass roots?"

Brief Description:
A handful of global NGO networks are growing as they become more coherent.  They are not building coherence by traditional centralization around a heroic leader who sets the mission and runs a powerful structure.  The best appear to have shared leadership, clear impact goals, and complementary relationships.  The speaker will share the results of his qualitative survey of over 40 international NGOs that he has advised or observed.
