Candidate: Kristin Monroe
Kristin Monroe is a specialist in Middle Eastern anthropology, and her work has focused on urban studies, religious and sectarian difference, and the production of social and spatial inequalities. Her dissertation focuses on “Civic Cartographies: Space, Power, and Public Culture in Beirut”. She received her PhD. in Anthropology from Stanford University, and she is currently teaching at Northwestern University in Chicago.
