Candidate: Tony Samara
Dr. Tony Samara received his Ph.D in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. His research integrates urban studies, criminology and social justice, and his focus has mainly been South Africa. One of his forthcoming publications is The City After Apartheid: Crime, Security & Neoliberal Urbanism in South Africa (University of Minnesota Press). He is currently teaching at George Mason University.
