Work Experience

  • IFF (formerly "Illinois Facilities Fund")

Role: Assistant, Lending Dept.

IFF is a nonprofit CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) lending to other nonprofit organizations that serve low-income or underserved communities across 5 mid-western states.  Sectors served include child care, education, charter schools, health care, senior services, homeless services, affordable housing, special needs services, addiction counseling, domestic violence assistance and shelter, youth services, community arts, and various other organizations.  In additional to facility lending and real estate consulting services, IFF also publishes research assessing performance and need amongst various nonprofit sectors and community areas and engages in local, regional, and national fiscal policy debates.

*Very well-run organization - check out www.iff.org if you're interested in community finance or nonprofit management.  Trinita Logue is the current President and founded Iillinois Facilities Fund as an out-branch from the still existing Chicago Community Trust.  IFF changed its name in 2008 to reflect its expansion of service outside of just Illinois into Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana and Iowa. "CDFI" is a designation granted by the United States Department of the Treasury.  Banks receive CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) credits for their investments in IFF.
