Bio


Mitchell Cook is a freelance research consultant specializing in issues of urban planning, local governance and international development. Currently, he is working for the Asian Development Bank on a feasibility study of sustainable integrated infrastructure development for the Asian Development Bank. He has consulted for the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (India) and the Observatory on Latin America. In the fall of 2008 Mitchell was a visiting scholar studying urban development strategy and local governance at the National Research Center for the Economy of the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze in Chongqing, China. He has also worked on issues of regional development in Bihar, India with the India China Institute. He holds a M.A. in International Affairs from the New School.
