The New School Graduate Program in International Affairs

This photo was taken during a field trip to Ilha de Paquetá, an island in Guanabara Bay. My co-teachers and I traveled to the island with the students from our film class to shoot a short film about a young girl and the death of her friend. As we were returning to the ferry at the end of the cool, overcast day, the sun broke through the clouds and suddenly everything was aglow with late afternoon sunlight.
