The road between Matam and St. Louis in Senegal is not very good to begin with, and was worsened by the rains during the hivernage season.  A bad road plus an erratic and aggressive driver led to a punctured tire, and a detour in the village on Ourro Funde for repairs.  Here Latsouk, the Senegalese student I worked with, observes the activity.
