Dr. Usha S. Nayar

Please join us next Monday, April 13th, as visiting faculty member Dr. Usha Nayar previews a variety of topics and themes that will be covered in her course in the fall.  For the GPIA fall semester, Dr. Nayar will be teaching International Social Policy (NINT 5323), Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:50PM.

 

Dr. Nayar is an international expert on child, adolescent and youth development. She is the former Deputy Director of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and has previously held positions as Head of the Unit for Child and Youth Research at TISS.  Dr. Nayar specializes in developmental social psychology; social research with a special focus on qualitative methodologies; social issues related to vulnerable and marginalized groups; media, information, and communication technology for the social sciences; capacity building of organizations and self-help groups; and building social capital in communities.
