Media and Culture in International Development: Say What?

From News Media & Culture to Human Rights & Photography to the Politics of Cultural Memory to The Media & Politics of Propaganda, you know what courses you can take to fulfill the requirements for the concentration. But what exactly is the concentration? How do we ought to define it? What does it mean to you? What can you do with it? What have you done with it? What would like to do with it while at GPIA? Got any more questions?

This is your chance to meet with the MCID Concentration chair Prof. Nina Khrushcheva, Concentration Assistant Sonja Uwimana and Contexts Editor Jake Perry to discuss all of the above, and more. We really want your input on how to move the concentration forward as we kick off the new semester. The meeting is intended to be collaborative therefore please come prepared to share your thoughts, concerns and ideas, as well as any experience you may already have in the field (such as it is defined). What’s your media story? We want to know! If you are interested in declaring MCID as your concentration or already have, this is the meeting for you.

For questions, please email Sonja Uwimana.
