is pleased to invite you to:

A Public Lecture by

Guillermo German Cabrera

Provost of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism

University of Buenos Aires, Argentina

How can design improve the living conditions in low-income urban areas? How can the collaboration of the disciplines of design and social sciences improve social development? Is it possible to explore new ways of urban thinking through exploring the convergence and collaboration between design and the social sciences?

OLA is proud to welcome Provost Guillermo German Cabrera to The New School, who will offer an overview of the scholarly and community activities underway at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism at The University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA) to better living conditions of low-income urban populations in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area.

FADU-UBA, with over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students, hosts six divisions covering architecture, graphic design, industrial design, planning and landscape design, textile and fashion design, and image and sound. It is the leading design institution in Argentina and one of the most recognized in Latin America.

Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required
