*Have you submitted a doctor's note confirming that you are fit to travel abroad? This is a requirement for IFP participation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Traveler's Health web site has country specific requirements and updates. You may also wish to visit the World Health Organization's International Travel and Health pages as well as embassy web sites. Below is a brief summary of recommended vaccines, but please visit the CDC site for more detailed and specific information. Check the sites often as requirements and recommendations change, and vaccinations are your responsibility. Please also be advised that in addition to these vaccines, or in the absence of vaccines for certain diseases, other precautions may be recommended, such as for dengue fever.

Click on the countries and the disease names below to see specific information from the CDC.

We recommend that you see a health-care provider at least 4-6 months before your trip to allow time for your vaccines to take effect and to start taking medicine to prevent malaria, if you need it. Please be sure to check with your health insurance provider, as many clinics charge consultation fees in addition to the vaccination charges, which are typically not covered by insurance.
