The New School Graduate Program in International Affairs

Ashok Gurung (M.I.A., Columbia University) is core Faculty Member and Director of the India China Institute at The New School. He has taught at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and he served as Program Officer for the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program based in New York City. A native of Nepal, he has worked with a number of non-governmental and multilateral organizations involved in micro-finance, higher education, capacity building, participatory community-based development, environment, and child-survival programs in various developing countries. He helped found and manage a U.S.-based cross-cultural study program in Nepal for international undergraduates.
