Student Progress Sheets

Please complete this form before meeting with your advisor for course registration.


Declaration of Concentration Form

Submit this completed form to the Program Secretary to declare your concentration.

Thesis Registration Form

All students who plan to write a thesis (the 'thesis option') must submit a completed Thesis Registration Form to the Program Secretary.

Independent Study Contract

To do an independent study, students must submit this signed, approved form as well as attach a full proposal and plan of study for the semester. The proposal should state clearly: (1) the topic to be studied; (2) the issues or problems to be investigated; (3) the materials and methods to be used; (4) work to be completed; (5) due dates (if known); (6) how often the student and instructor will meet; and (7) how the student's work will be evaluated. Independent studies cannot be approved without the plan of study attached to this completed document.


Internship Contract

In order to get academic credit for an internship, you must submit a signed copy of the Contract for Internship, an approved internship proposal, and the organization's written confirmation of the internship to the Program Secretary.

Student Academic Conference Travel Award

The GPIA announces the availability of limited funds to support student participation in professional conferences. Students who are presenting a paper at a conference can apply for up to $300 toward their expenses. Applications are due at dates announced each semester.
