The story of Shulem Deen, a Hasidic Rebel.
Current GPIA student, Marisa Wong, started The Bedford Avenue Project as an attempt to document and understand the diverse groups of people who live and work along Brooklyn's longest street. The first chapter of the project, UNPIOUS, is a multimedia storytelling piece which documents a Hasidic rebel's struggle with faith, family, and community. You can follow Marisa's work on her website, vimeo, or on Twitter: @marisawongmedia.
